Sheffield is a city in Yorkshire, England. It got its name because the city has its origin in an area on the River Sheaf. Sheffield population was estimated to 525 800 people in 2006, and it is one of eight major British cities outside London.
It is historically an industrial city, famous for the manufacture of steel. The city of steelmaking heritage was shown in the 1997 British film The Full Monty.
